Shanghai part 1

I'M BACK FROM SHANGHAI PEEPS! YAY!!

The weather in shanghai was rather cold, around 5-16c? I love the cold weather though! It's the only time i get to wear my pretty trench coats and furry boots! Speaking of boots... i have something very embarrassing to share. SO, since i don't fly to winter countries very often, i only have one old pair of boots. And guess what? right as i boarded the train... MY SHOE BROKE DOWN!!! *panic mode on* the best part is, i went to shanghai with my school so its not like i could just buy a new pair, where got time?! if it were you, what would you have done? HAHA well you know what i did? i wore my socks over the boots.. am i a genius or what?! yea, it looked weird.. but what else could i have done??

#OOTD Red Rugger Ralph Lauren, Acid wash jeans, Black & Gold coat H&M, Colourful angora scarf, Black sling bag Prada and yes.. my white boots cause i was wearing white socks >.< (Thank god i didn't wear some funky socks then!)
This photo was taking at Xin Tian Di, one of the tourist attractions in Shanghai because it embodies both traditional and modern infrastructures :D

Isn't it beautiful? I never really had a good impression of china, thought they has poor sanitation, super polluted and stuff, but hey! This is really an eye-opener, i was AMAZED. Even walking along the streets of Shanghai was amazing, it's not like Singapore, it's just different. Though the sun sets really early (around 5.30 it'd be getting dark already), the streets were still bustling with shops and lights!

AND there's FOOOOOD everywhere! small little shops selling everything from candy to fried snacks to proper meals and even ice-cream shops! Since it was my first time in Shanghai, i knew i had to try some of their snacks, i mean.. don't we all just love to eat? #foodiesFTW

Strawberry Bing Tang Hu Lu 12Y = approx $2.50

I don't know what this is called but it was SUPER DELICIOUS i'm going to call it Fluffypuff! But really, it's like a pastry that has different flavours inside! i chose the red bean and green tea one! so there was red bean paste inside, and a green tea mochi in the middle YUM! the only thing that could have made this day any better was if the weather co-operated ): It was raining so heavily that night that 2 out of our 4 umbrellas were destroyed :O and we were LITERALLY blown away by the wind, it was BAD... see our attempt to take a selfie? Quite fail right.. ? >.<

'The Bund' -- another tourist attraction at Shanghai

DON'T JUDGE ME!!! (ps: the rain was so bad we had to rush back to our hotel)

I stayed in Ramada Hotel, and when i first heard about this.. i was like "huh? Ramada? what kind of hotel is that?!"  are you guys with me on this?? i mean.. have you heard of Ramada Hotel before?? well i havn't! so yes.. i was totally judging it. But i was pleasantly surprised!! The rooms were HUGEEEEEE! it was so huge that Angie and I squeezed on one bed to sleep cause.. well... would you wanna sleep all alone at the other end of the room?

Room

Personal kitchen place

Toilet
SEEEE we could squeeze on one bed! :D
Random question, but what do you do on the first day of your stay at a hotel? Well, wanna know what Angie and I do? i bet you didn't see this coming! HAHAHA that's totally what happens when you put two best friends behind closed doors xD

And their international buffet breakfast was definitely no disappointment either! There was a SUPER wide spread of food that were all good in my opinion!

Selection of Danish pastries

Selection of food! and even more behind

Baked beans, Smoked Duck Breast, hash brown, sausage, toast, Skim milk -- My breakfast
This brings us to DAY 2!!

#OOTD Brown Angora scarf, Blue Checkered shirt New look, Dark Grey Jeans, Black Boots (super-glued them!) + Ugly school jacket that i refused to take an OOTD with ):<

So.. Day 2 was a school immersion trip where we visited Minhang High school and Fudan university! Nothing interesting to talk about apart from the fact that their schools were HUGE and the landscape was gorgeous!

Chemistry Lessons in CHINESE! *shoots myself*
So fine.. Since i can't understand anything, it's time for some camwhore :P

Disclaimer: #bareface #nomakeup #nofilter (ps: The jacket damn ugly right? look like some Olympic ping pong player lah!)

Fudan University -- Shanghai

That' just a little bit of the gigantic school!! It's so so pretty right?! If only Singapore had schools that looked like this.. I think i'd be 10x more excited to go to school that way HAHA! No, just kidding, i think i'd still rather laze around in bed #lazypig

Apologies for the long post! There's more to come in fact since i have SO much i want to share with everyone! To sum this post up, Day 1&2 in shanghai was really an amazing experience, i'd recommend everyone to check it out if you've never been to china before! It'll be even more spectacular a journey if you have friends along with you like i did! Introducing to you Shanghai Group 1! my best buddies for this trip <3

From Top to bottom, Left to right : Fredion, Kai Jie, Hui Jie, Wei Ling, Sheryl, Krittin, Myself and Angie!
