Shanghai part 3!

Last part of my shanghai trip! The days just seemed to get better and better as they go along, and when you've reached day 5.. you start to dread the idea of going back to Singapore because shanghai was just so so fun ): But let's not pop the happy bubble! Day 5 was FUN FUN FUN!

We went to a little water town called 'ZhuJiaJiao'. And there wasn't really much to do, but just having that homely feel with all the quaint, old buildings around, not to mention the small little shops selling all sorts of interesting and yummy goodies, don't be surprised if you end up spending a whole day there! I totally feel like i didn't have enough of it, it's a fabulous place for #OOTDs and pictures!

see? It looks SOOOO peaceful right? the life in this little water town looks fun too, being there just made all of us happy for some reason, all the tiredness in our legs.. the freezing toes and fingers, all seemed like nothing! We even went all out to have fun and did some funny poses! Hahaha check it out, but don't blame us for being 'crazy' that's just the way we had fun, and hey! if you ever visit this town, you'll understand what i mean (;

Starbucks also somehow became our best friend in the cold weather because a hot cup of latte was really nice!

7 happy smiles with 7 cups of Starbucks :D

A Starbucks a day keeps the coldness away! #yum
Later on we also went to a supermarket in this little town! And i know you might be thinking.. its just a supermarket, what's so interesting?? Well...

Does it looks interesting or does it looks interesting?! SOOOO many snacks up for grab! And they're all pretty reasonably prices! 1 SGD is approx 5 RMB so... most of their snacks were about $2 each only?

Dinner was not too bad that day either.. Being in a little town like ZhuJiaJiao, they have a slightly different palate so the taste of the food might seem 'weird' but it's not too bad! *wink* you know you could always choose to have cup noodles since the supermarket's just a short walk away? they have LOADS of different flavours!

Day 6 was even better because we started out the day at Mahota Farm -- They grow organic vegetable and rear animals carefully to ensure the best quality for consumption. And we had our own personal hot pot for lunch! YES, you know how shiok it is to have hot pot in cold weather? nice warm soup that's good for the tummy AND healthy so it's absolutely guilt free eating!

Hot pot set comprising of  peanuts and cucumbers for starters, fresh vegetables (Lots of varieties like sweet potato, carrots, white radish, Golden mushroom, lettuce and some others), Meat balls and sliced pork plus a butter cookie and orange for snacks!

Was really the BEST. MEAL. EVER!! Okay, i have to admit the soup was kinda tasteless and the only sauce they gave came with LOADS of parsley in it... Yuck, i'm not a fan of parsley AT ALL! >.< so okay fine, the soup wasn't very tasty but after cooking all the meat and everything it's not too bad! Oh, we went farming too!! and they gave us all free organic veggies to bring home.. how nice!

Planting the baby plants!
Watering them after!
And we're all done! YAY!

we also went to another shopping area called 'Xin Yang' Market! It's great for shopping because there are many shops! But you really have to put your bargaining skills to the test at this place because the prices they'll quote you are very high, but you can actually get it at a much lower price! I bought a pair of imitation Doctor Martens boots from there for $24 when they actually quoted me like $50 hehehe *inner auntie mode on* I don't have very many pictures of the place because i was too busy and excited to shop haha but this is how the entrance looks like

it's an Underground shopping place near the Mrt! If you come across this, remember to stop and shop! there's lots of good stuff especially SHOES :D the clothes.. not too fashionable in my opinion haha but you could always check it out!

I'm just gonna squeeze day 7 in this post as well because it's already the last day ): how time flies! So we set off quite early in the morning to Qibao ancient town... It's quite similar to ZhuJiaJiao but has less interesting shops around, mostly food! still an interesting place to go!!

They look similar right? Even i had a hard time sorting out my photos and figuring out which place it actually was :O and also similar to ZhuJiaJiao, what i like about this place is it makes you feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle streets of shanghai. In this small little village you'll find peace and tranquility (:

So that marked the end of our 7 day Shanghai Journey, and back to Singapore we went! Shanghai's a really modern city and i really loved the place a lot, i'll definitely wanna go back there again! Yea, there were some parts of it i didn't enjoy, certain culture of theirs i cannot understand, but overall.. it's still a great place to go :D

Once again ending off with my #OOTD for these three days (:

Day 5:

Black and White dress, Red coat New look, Black Tights and black fur boots (PS: Angie and i shifted the table lamp to make it have a 'photoshoot' effect haha! Does it look like it? )

Day 6:

Black Turtle Neck Uniqlo, Red checkered shirt, Black and Gold Coat H&M, Dark Grey jeans, Black Fur boots
Day 7:

Black Rugger Ralph Lauren, Navy blue Vest Ralph Lauren, Camel Coat Ad&co, White acid wash jeans, Black fur boots
Have i convinced you that Shanghai is a travel destination worth considering? If i haven't maybe you'd wanna take a look at this short video made by Krittin summarizing all the fun we had in Shanghai!
